Sheldon's passion for writing goes back as far as he can remember. His first literary love was poetry, but he grew out of that as he got older - mainly because he began to realise that he was not very good at it. However, thankfully for us at MyBettingSite, Sheldon did not let his failure in the world of poetry put him off from literature and writing.
He opted to study for a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) in English before he fulfilled his life in the education system by reading for a Master of Arts in English. He took both of these courses at the University of Malta.
When he entered the adult world in 2016, he began writing voluntarily for a site called Read Everything. This website has all of the latest happenings in the world of sports, so it was right up Sheldon's street as his love for literature is rivalled only by his passion for sports and travelling.
The three sports that he pays the most attention to are football, cricket, and rugby union. He has supported Aston Villa since he was 6 years old, which is a journey that has certainly had its ups and downs - mostly downs though. During his time writing for Read Everything, he wrote hundreds of transfer news, match predictions, and player ratings for Read Aston Villa.
When it comes to cricket and rugby union, he only supports England's national team, but he does his best to watch as much cricket and rugby as he can as he always wants to build on his extensive knowledge of both sports. He always looks forward to the Six Nations and the Rugby World Cup, while The Ashes and the Cricket World Cup are cricket events that he always watches. Other sports that he loves watching include tennis, snooker, boxing, darts, cycling, boxing, Formula 1, and MMA.
As well as writing for Read Everything, Sheldon was a part-time freelance content writer for TopContent. For over three years, he wrote content on a range of topics which included casino and slot game reviews and betting guides for popular table games such as poker, blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. During this time, he learnt a lot about the iGaming industry, and it was something that interested him.
He decided that he wanted to use his sports and casino knowledge to help others have a quality gambling experience while increasing their levels of entertainment. In the summer of 2019, he joined MyBettingSite and is now a valuable team member.
