Meet Steven Brown - International Sports Writer and Executive Coach

About Steven Brown

Steven was first exposed to rugby when he was 11 years old. He grew up in the football-obsessed town of Cannock, Staffordshire, in the UK. Prior to founding a prosperous sports business and working with rugby stars like Leicester Great and England captain Martin Corry, he was an avid player in his teens.

Steven has coached men's and junior teams in the UK, Luxembourg, New Zealand, and Malta, and his intense passion for the game has also contributed to his exceptional coaching success. Two of his personal career highlights as a coach were meeting his coaching hero, Graham Henry at a Best Coaches conference in Auckland and having six All Blacks conduct a one-and-a-half-hour coaching and quality assurance session for an U14s squad he had helped form. During his career, Steven has worked with international rugby captains while coaching rugby all around the world. His favourite memories are from outstanding seasons with New Zealand and England youth teams.

Off the rugby pitch, Steven has had experience with several corporate organisations and a few established start-ups - namely a rugby sports agency, executive search companies, a national golf tour for youth players people, and much more. One of Steven's largest endeavours was with Blue Anvil Technologies, which achieved remarkable success and won recognition in the Microsoft Sunday Times Fast Track 100 in 2003 and 2004.

In business, in addition to building a solid network of board members, investors, and senior executives, he continues to have the privilege of coaching and mentoring some of the most senior C-suite executives in the world. Steven has also been appointed as a board advisor, helping several NZ businesses expand their service offerings into the international market.

Steven is still dedicated to helping others achieve their full potential, whether it is at business or in rugby. He enjoys the challenge of working with new people throughout Europe and discovering their talents and life experiences.
