The majority of England fans probably assumed that England would have qualified for the semi-finals before this match, but the only thing that they have qualified for is an early plane back to Blighty. They have been really poor at this World Cup and will head back to the UK with a sense of embarrassment and shame hanging over them. On the other hand, the Netherlands have done better than expected, so they will be quietly confident of getting another win under their belts.
England might already be out, but there is still a lot of pressure on them to put in a performance. I cannot say for certain, but there is a good chance that this will go down as one of the worst title defences for any sport. They will want to win their final two games to give their travelling fans something to cheer about.
