The first legs of the Champions League quarter-finals definitely lived up to the expected levels of entertainment, and we should be in for more excitement on Tuesday and Wednesday evening as we find out the four teams that will be contesting the semi-finals of the 2023/24 UCL. Barcelona welcome PSG to Camp Nou after a 3-2 win in Paris, but will they be able to hold on to their advantage or will the French giants take a step closer to claiming their first Champions League title? Check out my prediction below to find out my views on this game.
🏆 Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain: Who Will Win?
Barcelona are currently sitting in second La Liga with 70 points from the 31 matches that they have played - they are in some decent form as of late, having not lost in their previous ten league matches. During this time, they have scored a total of 19 goals while conceding just the five. They are eight points adrift of Real Madrid, who occupy the top spot, so they will have probably conceded the league by now and will be focusing on trying to win their sixth Champions League title.
You will probably not be shocked to find out that Paris Saint-Germain are sitting on top of Ligue 1. From the 28 matches that they have played, they have picked up 63 points - losing just the one match all season. Not only do they have the best attack in the league, but they also have the best defence. They have scored an average of 2.32 goals per match while conceding an average of 0.86. The league is all but in the bag, so they can turn their full attention to the Champions League.
This really is not an easy match to call, but I am going to back Barcelona to win a tight match and book themselves a spot in the last four. I will explain my reasoning for this a little later on. As for my score prediction, let me go with a 2-1 win for the Spanish giants.
My Prediction: 🏆 Barcelona 2 PSG 1 ⚽

However, they have not all been cut from the same cloth, and you will obviously want to place your wagers with the best bookies. I have got you covered as below you can find the odds that my top established and new UK betting sites have available for this big Barcelona vs PSG clash.

🏅 Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain: Match Winner Odds
Barcelona and PSG have faced each other a total of 11 times, and Barcelona have won five times to PSG's three. Goals are usually not in short supply when these two teams come up against each other, and last week's match was another goal fest. Barcelona struggled at times against a partisan crowd and were 2-1 down after an hour. However, Xavi made some inspired substitutions which turned the tie in their favour. Raphinha equalised in the 62nd minute and Christensen gave them a priceless advantage with a 77th minute header.
Since they are at home, Barcelona are the favourites to win this match. However, their odds tell us that the bookies have certainly not ruled PSG out of the running. Check out the match winner odds below:

Barcelona | 2.18 | 2.18 | 2.25 | 2.23 | 2.28 |

⚽ Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain: Both Teams To Score Odds
With the attacking talent that both teams have at their disposal, you probably will not bat an eyelid when I tell you that the sports betting sites are very certain that both teams will find the back of the net in this game. As you can see from my aforementioned predicted scoreline, I am also certain that both defences will be breached. If this is the kind of market that you enjoy betting on, then below are the BTTS odds for this Barcelona vs PSG:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Yes | 1.40 | 1.40 | 1.40 | 1.40 | 1.45 |
No | 2.82 | 2.82 | 2.75 | 2.65 | 2.70 |
🥅 Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain: Over/Under 2.5 Goals Odds
Goals are never a rare commodity in this fixture, which is why it is totally understandable that the five bookies that I have selected are pretty confident that there will be three goals scored in this match. They are also sure that there will be under 3.5 goals scored. These odds, along with the odds in the two tables above, tell us that the bookies believe that the most likely outcome is a 2-1 win for Barcelona. Below are the over/under 2.5 goals odds:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Over 2.5 | 1.44 | 1.44 | 1.45 | 1.45 | 1.46 |
Under 2.5 | 2.61 | 2.61 | 2.70 | 2.55 | 2.55 |
✔️ Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain - Betting Tips
In this section of my betting guide, I am going to give you four top tips for this Barcelona vs PSG match. Before you go ahead and bet on this match, whether that is with your own money or a free bet, you should do yourself a favour and read them closely. You might just find something that you really like the look of.
- Tip 1: Bet on Barcelona to win: This will be a close match between two talented teams, but I am backing Barcelona due to their home form. From 16 home league matches this season, they have lost just the three, while they have won all four of their home games in the UCL. PSG have not lost an away match in Ligue 1, but they have won just one of four away games in the Champions League. If you want to back Barcelona to win, then you can find odds of 2.28 at BetUK Sports.
- Tip 2: Bet on BTTS: From the 11 matches that these two teams have played against each other, both teams have found the back of the net on nine occasions. This means that 83% of their matches have ended in both defences being breached. With the quality that both teams have at the top of the field, it would surprise me if this game did not have plenty of goalmouth entertainment. Those who want to back BTTS in this game can find odds of 1.45 at BetUK Sport. I would consider adding this to an accy due to the shorter odds.
- Tip 3: Bet on Robert Lewandowski to score: I think that there is a good chance that the legendary Polish striker will find the back of the net in this game. He has been in fine form this season, scoring 20 goals in the 41 appearances that he has made. This includes three goals in eight UCL matches. If PSG give him a sniff of goal, he will punish them for it. Those who want to back the Pole to score can find odds of 2.07 at LeoVegas Sports.
- Tip 4: Bet on Barcelona to win 2-1: This really is one of those matches that could end up with any type of scoreline, but I am going to plumb for a 2-1 win for the home side. I can see Barcelona's attack getting the better of their opponents, but I do not see them keeping a clean sheet against the French giants. If you think that this will end 2-1 to Barcelona, then you can find odds of 8.50 at Betiton Sport.
N.B. Always remember to gamble responsibly when you are betting on sports. Set up a budget, and make sure that you stick to it.
1️⃣Barcelona Update
Barcelona fans would have been hopeful that their team would be able to retain the title that they won last season, but it looks like this feat is beyond them now as Real Madrid have a nice cushion at the top of the league. However, if they were to go on and win their 6th UCL title, their fans would not care one jot about missing out on the league. They finished at the top of their Champions League Group with four wins and two defeats and then beat Napoli 4-2 in the Round of 16 to book themselves a spot in the last eight.

2️⃣Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain are walking away with Ligue 1, but you cannot really use their performances in one of the weakest top leagues in Europe to predict how they will do in the Champions League. They also tend to crumble under the pressure in this competition as it is the one title that they are desperate to win. PSG were in the hardest UCL group and they finished in second place with two wins, two draws, and two defeats. They then took on Real Sociedad in the Round of 16 and came out as 4-1 winners.
Below are their previous five results in all competitions:
