Bournemouth have the unenviable task of welcoming Manchester City to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening for a Premier League clash. The Cherries are not out of the choppy relegation waters just yet, while Manchester City will be looking to keep the pressure on Liverpool and Arsenal. Will Bournemouth put a big dent in City's chances of lifting the title once again, or will Pep's men show us once more why they are one of the best teams in the world? Keep reading this prediction and all will be revealed.
🏆 Bournemouth vs Manchester City: Who Will Win?
Bournemouth are currently sitting in 13th place in the table, with 28 points from the 24 matches that they have played. They have only picked up three points from their last six matches, which will be something of a worry for those of a Bournemouth persuasion. With an 8-point gap over the Relegation Zone, it is unlikely that they will be drawn into a tense battle for survival, but you just never know when it comes to the English Premier League.
Manchester City are sitting at the top of the EPL form table as they have eight wins and two draws from their previous ten matches. They are clicking at the moment, and it is going to take a special performance for a team to beat them. With the form that they are in, Liverpool and Arsenal know that they cannot afford any slip-ups if they are to prevent Pep's men from winning the title for the fourth year in a row.
For me, there is only one winner here, and it is not going to be the home side. City will just have too much strength and should come away as comfortable winners. As for the scoreline, I am going to opt for a 3-1 Man City win.
My Prediction: 🏆 Bournemouth 1 Manchester City 3 ⚽
💯 Bournemouth vs Man City Match Odds
One of the main reasons why so many sports bettors chance their arm on football matches is the fact that there are so many different markets that punters can choose from. Obviously, your final decision will be based on the odds that are on offer - you can have the most entertaining market out there, but is it worth betting on it if the odds are short? The answer is no. Three markets that many football punters like betting on are the match winner, both teams to score, and over/under 2.5 goals.
In the following tables, you will find the top odds that five quality sports betting sites are offering for these three markets when it comes to this Bournemouth vs Manchester City match.
Manchester United vs Fulham: Match Winner Odds
The five sites below are a mixture of established and new UK betting sites, so you have variation in this regard too. These bookies have Man City as the huge favourites to pick up all three points in this match, which is really not that surprising when you consider the form that they have been in. Below you can find the match winner odds for this game:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Bournemouth | 6.70 | 6.70 | 7.00 | 7.50 | 7.50 |
Draw | 5.10 | 5.10 | 5.00 | 5.30 | 5.30 |
Manchester City | 1.39 | 1.39 | 1.40 | 1.36 | 1.36 |
Bournemouth vs Manchester City: Both Teams To Score Odds
Even though the bookies think City will dominate this match, they are not expecting them to prevent Bournemouth from finding the back of the net. This is a fair enough assumption considering that City's defence has not been as solid this season as we have come to expect. If this is your type of market, then check out the both teams to score odds below:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Yes | 1.64 | 1.64 | 1.62 | 1.62 | 1.68 |
No | 2.17 | 2.17 | 2.15 | 2.05 | 2.12 |
Bournemouth vs Manchester City: Over/Under 2.5 Goals Odds
The bookies are extremely certain that there will be at least three goals scored in this match, which is something that I can get on with. With the attacking talent that City have in their squad, there should be three goals in every game that they play. Below are the over/under 2.5 goals odds for this Bournemouth vs City match:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Over 2.5 | 1.45 | 1.45 | 1.48 | 1.38 | 1.43 |
Under 2.5 | 2.57 | 2.57 | 2.65 | 2.70 | 2.80 |
✔️ Bournemouth vs Manchester City - Betting Tips
It is now time for me to give you my football betting tips for this Bournemouth vs Man City match. Before you put down any type of wager, no matter the sport, and even if you are making use of free bets, it is always a smart move to see what some experienced tipsters are thinking. Thus, below is my betting advice:
- Tip 1: Bet on City to win: I can only see one result in this match, and that is a win for the away side. They have been in great form as of late, and are on one of those runs that usually sees them go on to lift the title. Bournemouth's form has dropped off a little with no win in six, which will be a bit of a concern for Cherries fans. They have never beaten Man City, and I do not see that changing on Saturday. You can find odds of 1.40 at 10BET Sport, which could be good for an accumulator bet.
- Tip 2: Bet on both teams to score: Usually I would be tempted to predict City to keep a clean sheet in such a match, but in their previous ten games they have only managed to keep three clean sheets. Furthermore, this season, both teams have scored in 67% of City's away matches, so I can see the Cherries getting a consolation goal in this game. You can find odds of 1.68 currently on offer at BetUK Sports.
- Tip 3: Bet on Erling Haaland to score: The Norwegian was struggling a bit in front of goal after coming back from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but all the signs point to him being back to his very best. He recently scored a brace against Everton and got the only goal in their win against Brentford during the week. If you want to back him to score, then you can find odds of 1.58 at Mr. Mega Sport.
- Tip 4: Back a 3-1 scoreline: I always like to try and predict the score because the available odds will usually be pretty enticing. I think City will have too much upfront for Bournemouth, but I can see the Cherries getting a consolation goal. You can find odds of 9.35 for City to win 3-1.
I am now going to give you one more important tip, and this is to always remember to gamble responsibly and to never gamble outside of your means. I suggest that you set up a budget and make sure that you stick to it.
Bournemouth Update
While Bournemouth have hit a patch of poor form, their fans will not be too disheartened as things could have been a lot worse. After 12 rounds of matches, Bournemouth only had around six points, and things were looking pretty bleak. However, they hit a rich vein of form that propelled them up the table, and now they have a comfortable 8-point cushion above the Relegation Zone.
I reckon that they need just three more wins to more or less book themselves a spot in next season's EPL, and they will be hoping to get those wins as soon as possible. However, one of them will not come on Saturday evening. However, watch them now make me look very foolish indeed.

2️⃣Manchester City Update
Manchester City were in a bit of a crisis in December supposedly as they dropped a few points, but we all knew that it would not be a long crisis and that they would be back to their very best pretty soon. This happened to coincide with the return of Kevin de Bruyne, who happens to be, in my opinion, the best midfield player in the league. They have picked up eight wins and two draws from their last ten matches, averaging 2.2 goals per game while conceding just 0.90 goals per match.
Pep Guardiola will be hoping that Liverpool slip up in one match, and then they will be ready to pounce and take the top spot. Although, they will be disappointed with the 1-1 draw against mid-table Chelsea as they could have claimed the top spot already after their win over Brentford. Whatever happens, one thing is for certain, and this is that we are in for one hell of a title race.
