On the 24th of February at 15:00 GMT, Brighton will welcome Everton to the American Express Stadium. The Seagulls will be hoping to keep themselves firmly in the hunt for European football next season, while Everton are desperate to avoid relegation from the English Premier League for the first time in their history. Everyone will have their different views as to what will happen in this match, and below you can read all about mine. Let's get cracking!

🏆 Brighton vs Everton: Who Will Win?

Brighton are one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the league as Roberto De Zerbi always adopts an attacking approach as his main aim is to entertain everyone watching. Not only are they fun to watch, but they are also pretty good as can be seen from the fact that they currently occupy 7th place in the table. The Champions League is probably out of the question this season, but there is no reason why they cannot achieve another campaign in the Europa League next season.

Everton can only dream of battling it out for a spot in Europe as they are currently sitting just outside the Relegation Zone on goal difference. However, if their appeal against their points deduction is successful, they will jump up to 12th place and should be pretty safe. They have only picked up a third of the last 30 points that have been on offer, which is the 5th worst form in the league. They are winless in eight, so it is easy to see why they are struggling this season.

It is hard to see Everton travelling down to Brighton and picking up the three points in all honesty. Their match against Palace on Monday was a pretty dire affair, and I cannot see them coping with Brighton's attacking talent. I am going for a 3-1 win for Brighton in this one.

My Prediction: 🏆 Brighton 3 Everton 1 ⚽

💯 Brighton vs Everton Match Odds

When you are betting on a football match, your selected wagers will obviously depend on the odds that are being offered for particular markets. With regards to football betting, I know that three popular markets among British punters include the match winner, over/under 2.5 goals, and both teams to score. Therefore, below you can find the odds that five of my top betting sites are offering for these markets in relation to this Brighton vs Everton match.

Brighton vs Everton: Match Winner Odds

My mixture of established and new UK betting sites have Brighton as the favourites to win this match, but they are not the overwhelming favourites. The odds tell us that they think there is a slight chance that Everton can get something out of this match. This is fair enough due to Everton's defensive record, but I still think Brighton have too much upfront. Let us check out the match winner odds below:

Brighton vs Everton: Both Teams To Score Odds

With regard to the both teams to score market, the bookies are pretty confident that both teams will find the back of the net. Given the fact that Brighton prefer to concentrate on attack rather than defence, this is something that I can fully agree with. You can find the both teams to score odds in the table below:

Brighton vs Everton: Over/Under 2.5 Goals Odds

If you have followed Brighton at all this season, you will know that goals are not that much of a rarity in the games that they are involved in. Thus, it will not come as any great surprise to find out that the bookies are backing there to be at least three goals scored in this match. Below are the over/under 2.5 goals odds for Brighton v Everton:

✔️ Brighton vs Everton - Betting Tips

You should always take some time to read football betting tips before you go ahead and finalise any bet, even if you are going to be using free bets that have been given to you by your bookmaker. You never know what you will be able to take advantage of. Therefore, below are four betting tips of mine for this Brighton vs Everton match.

  • Tip 1: Bet on Brighton to win: While I think Everton have the potential to give Brighton a hard game, I cannot tip them to win simply because of Brighton's record at the Amex over their previous ten matches. The Seagulls have won five and drawn five of their previous 10 matches at home. Furthermore, Everton are winless in six of their previous matches away from Goodison Park. Everything is pointing to a Brighton win, and you can find odds of 1.85 at 10Bet Sport.
  • Tip 2: Bet on both teams to score: Brighton have played 25 matches this season, and both teams have found the back of the net in 80% of them. They always leave themselves vulnerable at the back because de Zerbi likes to prioritise entertaining attack-minded football over defending. I think Everton will get a consolation goal in this match. At the moment, BetUk Sports are offeringodds of 1.66 for both teams to score.
  • Tip 3: Back Jarrad Branthwaite to be booked: If you like to try and predict a player to be booked by the ref due to the enticing odds that are often available, then my suggestion is to back Everton's centre-back to be cautioned. He is one of their most-cautioned players this season because he has no issues putting in a thumping tackle. Betiton Sport are offering odds of 3.25 for him to be booked.
  • Tip 4: Back Brighton to win 3-1: Brighton will keep going at Everton's defence for the whole of the match, and I can see them scoring three goals. However, they rarely keep a clean sheet, so a 3-1 is a reasonable shout in my view. At the time of writing, Mr. Mega are offering odds of 11.60 for this scoreline.

N.B. One final tip I must give you is to always gamble responsibly and never try to recover any losses that you have made. Set a budget, and stick to it.

Brighton Update

Many pundits and Premier League fans had Brighton down as a potential candidate to qualify for European football this season, and they are living up to such predictions. They are currently sitting in the Europa Conference League spot, but they will have their eyes on Europa League qualification. They have a nine-point gap to bridge though between themselves and Spurs, so they might find it tricky to do so.

After their brilliant season last year, they lost a number of their best players, so the fact that they are fighting it out for Europe once more is a testament to them as a club and De Zerbi's quality as a manager.

2️⃣Everton Update

Everton are going to be in a relegation scrap this season, but their lowly position in the table is actually a false position. If you are a keen followers of the EPL, then you will already know why. If you are just getting into it, then it is because they were deducted 10 points for breaching financial fair play. Without this points deduction, they would actually be sitting in 12th place and pretty clear of relegation.

One thing that they have over their relegation rivals is the fact that their defence has performed much better. They have conceded just 33 goals in 25 matches, which can only be bettered by Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City.
