Manchester United will welcome Fulham to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon with a Champions League spot in sight, while the only thing that Fulham have left to play for in this Premier League season is pride. Although, having said that, if they go on a bit of a poor run, there is a slight chance that they could be dragged into a relegation battle, but I do not see that happening. So will United keep the pressure on Tottenham and Villa, or will Fulham threaten to take Chelsea's 10th spot? Read on to find out what I think will happen.
🏆 Manchester United vs Fulham: Who Will Win?
There are plenty of mysteries in life, and one of them is the fact that Manchester United are sitting in 6th place in the table, just five points adrift of a Champions League spot. They are pretty boring to watch in all honesty under Erik Ten Hag, but they keep on finding results - which is all that matters. To say that they have had their fair share of luck this season would be one of the understatements of the year. When it comes to their form over the last ten games, they are in 7th place with 17 points to their name.
While Fulham fans would settle for a mediocre mid-table finish this season, they have only picked up 11 points from the previous 30 that have been on offer, and their season is in danger of petering out. They have not really kicked on from that impressive 2-1 win over Arsenal at the end of December. Fulham have a bit of a reputation as a yo-yo club, so to book another season in the EPL would be considered a solid campaign for the Cottagers.
Fulham have a very poor record at Old Trafford and have one of the worst away forms in the league, so everything is pointing towards a win for Manchester United. I am going to back United to come out on top with a 3-1 scoreline.
My Prediction: 🏆 Manchester United 3 Fulham 1 ⚽
💯 Manchester United vs Fulham Match Odds
Football betting is extremely popular because there are so many different betting options available for you to choose from, but the ones that you ultimately decide to bet on will depend on the odds that are being offered. You do not want to bet on something that does not come with favourable odds as there is no value in doing so. The three most popular football markets are:
- Match winner
- Both teams to score
- Over/Under 2.5 goals
In the tables below, you can find the odds that five of my favourite betting sites are offering for these three markets in relation to this Manchester United vs Fulham match.
Manchester United vs Fulham: Match Winner Odds
The established and new UK betting sites that I selected for you have Manchester United as the big favourites for this game. When you consider Fulham's poor record against United, which I will delve into a bit later on, it is pretty easy to see why the bookies are backing the Red Devils. Old Trafford is unlikely to be the Theatre of Dreams for the Cottagers this weekend. Below are the match winner odds:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Manchester United | 1.51 | 1.51 | 1.53 | 1.53 | 1.54 |
Draw | 4.30 | 4.30 | 4.33 | 4.40 | 4.50 |
Fulham | 5.35 | 5.35 | 5.75 | 5.50 | 5.50 |
Manchester United vs Fulham: Both Teams To Score Odds
The bookies reckon that there is a very good chance that both teams will find the back of the net in this match. I agree with them here, but I will not explain why right now. I will save that for my betting tips section which is coming up shortly. For now, just check out the odds that are being offered for this market:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Yes | 1.58 | 1.58 | 1.60 | 1.58 | 1.65 |
No | 2.23 | 2.23 | 2.20 | 2.14 | 2.18 |
Manchester United vs Fulham: Over/Under 2.5 Goals Odds
Since the bookmakers think that United will claim the three points that are on offer and that Fulham will also get on the scoresheet, then it stands to reason that they are favouring their being at least three goals scored in this match. If you are the kind of punter who likes to bet on such a market, then check out the odds below:
Team | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Over 2.5 | 1.51 | 1.51 | 1.55 | 1.50 | 1.55 |
Under 2.5 | 2.36 | 2.36 | 2.40 | 2.38 | 2.45 |
✔️ Manchester United vs Fulham - Betting Tips
It is time for me to provide you with my football betting tips for this Manchester United vs Fulham game. Before you make a bet, even if you are using some free bets that you have acquired, it is always wise to see what some expert tipsters are thinking. So, below are four bits of betting advice for this match.
- Tip 1: Bet on United to win: As a Villa fan, I would love Fulham to turn United over, but I just do not see it happening. The Cottagers have not won at Old Trafford in 21 years, while they have only picked up seven points on the road all season. Only Sheffield United have fared worse on their travels than Fulham. Everything is pointing to a United win, and you can find odds of 1.54 at BetUK Sports.
- Tip 2: Bet on both teams to score: Both teams have scored in 50% of Manchester United's home matches and 50% of Fulham's away matches this season, so I can understand if you are unsure about this market. But hear me out. From the last 20 matches that these two teams have played in the league, they have managed to keep just 4 clean sheets between them. They are not adept at keeping the ball out of their net, so both teams should score in this one. BetUk Sports are currently offering odds of 1.65 for this market.
- Tip 3: Bet on Rasmus Hojlund to score: The Dane has hit his strike in the Premier League, scoring in the last six league games that he has played in. He now has 13 goals in all competitions, and United fans are starting to like what they see. Betiton Sport have odds of 2.10 for him to score at any stage in the match.
- Tip 4: Bet on United to win 3-1: I think that United will go on and win this match by a 3-1 scoreline, and those who agree with me will be able to find Mr-Mega-Sports[odds of 9.90]* for this to be the final score.
The last tip that I am going to give you is perhaps the most important one of the lot, and this is to make sure that you gamble responsibly whenever you are betting on any sport. Do not bet with money that you need for more important things, and never chase your losses.
Manchester United Update
With the way that everyone has been criticising United's 2023/24 season, you would think that they are struggling at the bottom of the table and are in a relegation battle. However, this is far from the case. Yes, they were poor in the Champions League and did little to boost England's co-efficient, but they have been finding ways to win and I would actually be tempted to put money on them pipping Spurs and Villa to the 4th spot UCL place.
They have a better squad of players than the two aforementioned teams, which is not surprising when you consider just how much they have spent in recent seasons. They are now unbeaten in five and full of confidence.

Ten Hag has several injuries that he needs to deal with ahead of this clash with Fulham, but he has the squad depth to cope with these absentees. You can see their missing players in the table below:
Player | Reason |
---|---|
Tyrell Malacia | Knee Injury |
Luke Shaw | Knock |
Mason Mount | Calf Injury |
Aaron Wan-Bissaka | Leg Injury |
Anthony Martial | Groin Injury |
Lisandro Martinez | Knee Injury |
2️⃣Fulham Update
Fulham's first aim each season is to finish somewhere in the top half of the table and book themselves another campaign in one of the greatest football leagues in the world. I would prefer my football team to have more ambition than just survival, but each to their own.
They are currently 9 points above the Relegation Zone, so will not be looking over their shoulders just yet. However, if they go on a bit of a losing streak and other results go against them, then they could end up getting drawn into the muck.
