Nottingham Forest have been in some dire form as of late as can be seen from the fact that they have picked up just eight points from the previous 30 that have been on offer. Only Brentford and Sheffield have faired worse over this time period. They are scoring just over 1 goal per game on average while conceding 2 goals - a recipe for relegation.
Newcastle United are currently in 9th place in the table, which is lower than their fans would have expected them to be at this stage in the season - especially after the amount of money that they have spent.
