The first two matches in Group F of the 2024 European Championships were highly entertaining affairs, and I think that more of the same will be on the menu in the second batch of games. The 14:00 GMT kick-off will see Georgia take on Czechia on the 22nd of June at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg. Both of these teams were defeated in their opening match, so they will be looking for a win to get back on track. Keep on reading to find out who I think will come out on top in this clash.
🏆 Georgia vs Czechia: Who Will Win?
Georgia are the lowest-ranked team in this competition, but you would not have known that from the spirited display that they put on against Turkey. They gave as good as they got for the 90 minutes and were unlucky to concede two of the best goals that we are likely to see at this tournament - the world's best keeper would have kept neither out. They nearly picked up a well-deserved point in injury time, but a late breakaway with Georgia's keeper up sealed the points for Turkey.
Many people would have bet on Portugal to beat Czechia, but we went into injury time at the end of the match with the scores level at 1-1 and the bookies looking at collecting a windfall. However, a defensive error in the 92nd minute allowed Francisco Conceicao to smash home from six yards and break Czech hearts. Czechia defended really well to keep Portugal out for well over an hour, but they will now need to show their attacking side against a talented Georgian outfit.
Many will probably back Czechia to win this match, but I was impressed by Georgia in their first match. I think they have what it takes to get a shock win here, so I will go against the grain and back Georgia to win 2-1.
My Prediction: 🏆 Georgia 2 Czechia 1 ⚽

✔️ Georgia vs Czechia - Betting Tips
Now that you know whether the Georgia vs Czechia odds for some popular markets are to your liking or not, I am now going to use this betting guide to give you some of my top Georgia vs Czechia betting tips.
Those who have free bets to spend might be tempted to slap down a risky bet, but I do not recommend doing this because most of the time you just end up wasting the promotion. It is always wise to check out betting tips from top tipsters so that you can make the best use of your free bet and get some extra money for future bets.
- Tip 1: Bet on Georgia to win: When you are betting, you need to look for potential value and I see value in a Georgia win here. I originally thought that Turkey would walk all over them, but the Georgians gave the Turks a pretty good scare. Georgia, despite having less than half of the possession, still managed 14 shots on goal, so they will be confident of giving the Czechia keeper plenty of work to do. Furthermore, at times against Portugal, the Czechia defence made several unforced errors, so I reckon Georgia have the potential to score a few goals and pick up a win here. Those who agree can find odds of 5.00 at 10Bet.
- Tip 2: Bet on both teams to score: While I can see Georgia going on to win this match, I cannot see them keeping a clean sheet as Czechia have some top attacking players in their squad. The Georgians will be most wary of the threats posed by the likes of Provod, Coufal, Soucek, and Schick. It would be a surprise if the Czechs were kept out, so those who want to back BTTS can find odds of 1.84 at BetUK Sports.
- Tip 3: Bet on Schick to score: Schick is a quality player who can hold up the ball while also possessing good dribbling skills and technique. Despite his size, he has plenty of pace and is a nightmare for defenders to deal with. He is averaging a goal every two games for his club and country. Leovegas have odds of 3.35 for Schick to score.
- Tip 4: Bet on Georgia to win 2-1: The correct score market is never one that is easy to get right, but it is always worth contemplating due to the enticing odds that are on offer. If you are sure of a score, could put a quid down and still get some decent returns. For example, Betiton Sport are offering odds of 13.50 for a 2-1 Georgia win.
N.B. It is important to always gamble responsibly. You can do this by setting up a budget as well as deposit limits.
1️⃣Georgia Update
Georgia are lucky to be at this tournament as they only qualified for the play-offs via their position in the UEFA Nations League. There they took on Greece in the final and managed to beat them on penalties. Despite this, they did not look out of place on the big stage against Turkey.
Despite being a small nation, Georgia still possess some players who play in the biggest European leagues. For instance, Kvaratskhelia has been one of Napoli's best players in recent seasons, while Mamardashvili is considered to be one of the best keepers in La Liga. Below are their previous five results:

2️⃣Czechia Update
The Czech Republic have always had a solid football team that is capable of giving the best teams in the world a good match, and many would have put money on them to finish in the top two in Group F - Turkey usually flatter to deceive while Georgia are playing at their first ever international competition. However, after the first round of matches, this group is going to be tighter than imagined.
West Ham's Tomáš Souček is the man that opposing teams need to pay close attention to because if he is left to his own devices then he will dictate the play and cause plenty of problems with his probing runs. Furthermore, he also has a knack of coming up with some big goals. Below are their previous five international results:
