Spain were one of the outside favourites to win Euro 2024, but from what I have seen in the Group Stage they are now my favourites to go on and win the title. For topping their group, they have earned themselves a Round of 16 match against Georgia on the 30th of June at 20:00 GMT. Both of these sides try to play top attacking football, so this should definitely be worth a watch. Will Georgia cause another big upset or will Spain march on to the Quarter-Finals? Read my prediction to find out my views.
🏆 Spain vs Georgia Prediction
Spain were in the "Group of Death", but they breezed through it with three wins from three matches. They scored five goals and did not concede once, making them the only team left in the competition that has yet to concede a goal. It is not surprising that they have such a good defensive record as they rarely let their opponents have the ball. When they do end up conceding possession, they work tirelessly to get the ball back as quickly as possible. For me, they have been the best team in the competition to date.
Georgia are the lowest-ranked team in the competition, but those who watched them beat Portugal 2-0 to seal a spot in the Round of 16 will find that hard to believe. As an England fan, I have had much more fun watching the Georgians play than Southgate's men. They seem to enjoy playing with each other and always look to go forward at pace when they have the ball, rather than passing it between them at the back. Portugal probably thought that they could just turn up and win, but the Georgians showed that they are no mugs.
I see nothing but a Spain win in this match, but Georgia will give it their best shot in what should be an entertaining Round of 16 clash. As for the scoreline, I am going to back Spain to win 3-0.
My Prediction: 🏆 Spain 3 Georgia 0 ⚽

🏅 Spain vs Georgia: Match Winner Odds
Spain and Georgia have played each other a total of seven times, and you will probably not be that surprised to find out that Spain have won six of those matches, while Georgia has just one win. These two teams have actually played recently as they were in the same qualifying group for Euro 2024. Spain won the first encounter 7-1 in September of 2023, and they won the second encounter 3-1 the following November.
There is a big gulf in class between these two teams, as seen from their recent meetings, so it is no shock to see that the top sports betting sites have Spain as the big favourites. Check out the match winner odds below:

⚽ Spain vs Georgia: Both Teams To Score Odds
Given the fact that Spain are yet to concede a goal at Euro 2024, it will probably not be much of a surprise for me to tell you that the bookmakers do not think that both teams will score in this match. If you like to dabble in the BTTS market, then you can check out the latest both teams to score odds in the table below:
BTTS | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|

No | 1.43 | 1.43 | 1.50 | 1.48 | 1.53 |
🥅 Spain vs Georgia: Over/Under Goals Odds
The bookies are quite confident that there will be over 2.5 goals scored in this match, which means that they believe that Georgia will be on the backend of yet another thrashing at the hands of Spain. They believe that it is very likely that Spain will come out on top as 3-0 winners and waltz into the Quarter-Finals. Below you can find the over/under 2.5 goals odds if this is a market that you are interested in.

✔️ Spain vs Georgia Betting Tips
If you are looking for some Spain vs Georgia betting tips, then you are in luck as this is what this betting guide is now going to provide.
We have taken a look at some of the top Spain vs Georgia odds that you can make use of with real money and a free bets, so let me now go into a bit more detail regarding what I can see playing out.
- Tip 1: Bet on Spain to win in an accumulator: Georgia were awesome against Portugal on Wednesday evening, but I do not think that even a similar performance will be enough for them to overcome Spain. To start with, Spain will have most of the ball, so Georgia's scoring opportunities will be very few. Additionally, Spain showed in the qualifiers that Georgia are not really much of a match for them. Due to the short odds of 1.20 at BetUK for a Spain win, you should think about adding this outcome to an accumulator.
- Tip 2: Give Spain a two-goal handicap: If you have no interest in adding such short odds to an accy, then you can think about giving Georgia a two-goal lead ahead of kick-off. This means that if Spain were to go on and win 3-0, you would win your handicap bet and get higher odds. LeoVegas Sports are currently offering odds of 2.70 for this handicap outcome.
- Tip 3: Bet on Alvaro Morata to score: The Spanish forward has played in the English Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A and has shown his quality in all three leagues. His pace, physicality and work rate, alongside his heading ability, make him a nightmare for defenders to deal with. He is averaging close to a goal every other game for his country, and those who want to back him to score here can find odds of 2.32 at LeoVegas.
- Tip 4: Back Spain to win 3-0: I would love Georgia to give Spain a close game, but it is hard to see this happening as there is a vast gulf in class. They will have barely any time on the ball, so their scoring opportunities will be limited. Even if Georgia do break away, Spain's top defence should have plenty to douse the fire. Those who want to back a 3-0 can find odds of 5.75 at Betiton.
N.B. Gambling responsibly is very important. Set up a budget with an amount that you know you can afford to potentially lose. Think about setting up deposit limits too.
1️⃣Spain Update
I was actually surprised that Spain were not up there with the likes of England, Germany and France as title contenders ahead of the competition starting. It is hard to pinpoint a weakness in their game, and one of the aforementioned teams will have to put in a near-perfect performance in order to stop them from lifting the European Championship title once again. They are on the hard side of the draw as they might have to overcome Germany and France to make it to the final, but I can see them triumphing.
The key man for Spain is Rodri and he will be well-rested for this match after he had to sit out of their win over Albania due to having picked up two yellow cards in the group stage. He is the glue for Spain, much like he is for Man City, and when he plays his team rarely loses. He is great at breaking up play and just as adept at setting up attacks. 2️⃣Georgia Update
Not many punters would have put their money on Georgia to make it through to the Round of 16, so they can return home on Sunday with their heads held high no matter what happens. If they were to somehow land one of the biggest upsets in football history by winning, they would probably never have to buy their own drinks in Georgia again. Sadly, I do not see this happening as they do not have the same sort of calibre of player that the Spanish have.
One player who probably could get into the Spanish team is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian frontman is electric with the ball at his feet and deadly in front of goal. Two seasons ago Napoli won the Serie A and he was voted as their player of the season. He is one of the most exciting footballers to watch in world football at the moment. Below are their previous five results:
