The final match on the 20th of June is a big one as it sees Spain take on Italy at the Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen. Both of these teams picked up wins in their first match of the competition, and a win here would guarantee them progress from the Group of Death. So, who will go on and pick up the points that are on offer? Well, by the time you get to the end of my prediction, this question will have been thoroughly answered.
🏆 Spain vs Italy Prediction: Who Will Win?
Spain were one of the favourites ahead of the competition, and they put in a statement performance against Croatia to show us all why this is the case. Everyone thought it would be a close game between Spain and Croatia as the latter always punch above their weight at international competitions, but Spain played the Croats off the park in the first half, scoring three goals and ending the match as a contest.
Italy are the defending champions, but not many bookies and bettors are giving them much hope of retaining the title that they won at Wembley back in 2020. They did pick up an important win against Albania, but it was far from convincing. With a little bit more luck, Albania could have equalised. If Italy play at the top of their game, they do have the personnel that can cause Spain many issues.
However, given the two performances in the first round, I cannot see anything but a win for Spain here. Italy will make things hard for their opponents, but I back the Spanish to win 3-1.
My Prediction: 🏆 Spain 2 Italy 1 ⚽

⚽ Spain vs Italy: Both Teams To Score Odds
You would imagine that the bookies would be favouring both teams to score in this match, but they have decided to sit on the fence instead. This is not bad for us bettors as it gives us some good value to try and make use of. Below you can see the BTTS odds for this Spain vs Italy match:

✔️ Spain vs Italy Betting Tips
Now that you are privy to the Spain vs Italy odds that five top bookmakers are offering for three of the most popular football betting markets, I am now going to use this betting guide to provide you with some of my Spain vs Italy betting tips.
You should always take the time to check out what others are thinking before placing your bet, even if you have a free bet to use. More knowledge will give you more power.
- Tip 2: Bet on both teams to score: I know the bookies are unsure about this market, but I am pretty certain that Italy have the firepower to score against Spain. The Spanish players are not big, so Italy will look to take advantage of this when they have set pieces in and around the Spanish box. I would be surprised if Italy did not score one goal, and those who want to back BTTS can head to 10Bet for odds of 2.10.
- Tip 3: Bet on Alvaro Morata to score: Spain have goal scorers all over the field, so it is not easy to pinpoint who will score for them. However, Morata looked in fine touch in the opening game against Croatia and took his goal really well. I can see him getting a few chances at goal against Italy, and a player of his quality will not pass them all up. He is averaging a goal every two matches for his country, and LeoVegas are currently offering odds of 3.55.
- Tip 4: Bet on a 3-1 win for Spain: I can see there being goals for both teams in this match, but Spain are a little bit better than Italy at the moment. I can see them winning by two goals but not keeping a clean sheet, and Betiton Sport are offering odds of 15.00 for a 3-1 Spanish win.
li>Tip 1: Bet on Spain to win: This should be a quality game for the neutrals as there is plenty of talent on both sides of the pitch, but I just feel that Spain have a little bit more to them at this moment. There are not many teams out there that could dispatch Croatia in the manner that Spain did. Italy got an important win against Spain, but it was far from convincing. If they are sloppy at the back again, Spain will punish them and there will be no coming back this time. Those who want to back Spain to win can find odds of 2.15 at 10Bet.
Before moving on to the next part of this prediction, please remember to always gamble responsibly. You should set a budget and stick to it.
1️⃣Spain Euro Update
The two main favourites for the title, England and France, were disappointing in their opening wins, and Spain will be thinking that they have what it takes to beat those teams should their paths cross. Spain were the slight favourites against Croatia, but not many would have put money on them being 3-0 up before the half-time interval. Not many teams would have been able to cope with what Spain threw at the Croats in the opening round.
Spain are usually known for keeping the ball, but this Spanish team is different as they do not mind their opponents having more of the ball. Croatia had just under 54% of the possession and more shots on goal, but Spain were clinical with their finishing. Italy will need to be spot on to get anything from this game. Italy Euro Update
Italy rode their luck on the way to winning Euro 2020, and they were at it again during their 2-1 win over Albania in the first match of the tournament. The Albanians scored the fastest goal in European Championship history after some shoddy Italian play, and it cost them dearly. Italy might not have the same squad quality as Spain, but they can use their experience and nous to get under the Spanish players' skins. This might put them off a bit, allowing Italy to get a win that not many are expecting.
When it comes to international football, you can never rule out the Italians as they always seem to save some of their best performances for the big stage. You can see their previous five results below:
