✔️ World Open Snooker Betting Tips 2024
What makes snooker betting such a popular sport among British sports bettors? Well, the main reason behind its popularity is the fact that there are many markets that punters can bet on, meaning that there is a lot of entertainment value on offer.
In this section of my World Open betting guide, I am going to have a gander at some top snooker markets and provide you with some useful World Open betting tips.
Match Winner
This is one of the easiest betting markets that you will encounter in any sport, making it a great option for those who are new to betting on sports. What you are tasked with doing is predicting the winner of the match. In other sports such as rugby or football, you will have the option of placing a bet on a draw, but there are no draws in the majority of snooker events since it is mostly knockout snooker.
Top Tip 1: Many novice snooker players bet on players simply because of their current ranking and reputation, but the great thing about snooker is that upsets are not that rare, and a player's form can fluctuate drastically. Therefore, it is important to check out the current form of a player that you are thinking about betting on before you finalise your wager.
Accumulator or Combination Betting
British sports bettors like placing accumulator bets because they combine different odds from different selections in order to provide higher odds - the higher the odds on offer, the more you stand to potentially win. With accumulator bets, you could place a bet on five players to win their respective matches, put down a low stake, and still land some decent returns if luck is with you. However, when it comes to this kind of bet type, you need all your selections to be correct in order for your bet to be successful.
Top Tip 2: It might seem very enticing to add as many selections to your accy to increase the odds, but I do not suggest you do this as you will also be increasing your chances of losing your bet. In all honesty, I would not get into the habit of placing accumulators - place them every now and then for some added entertainment.
The Winner of the Next Frame
There might be a time when you are not in the mood to bet on the player who will win the match. In such cases, another top betting option is to try and predict the player who will go on to win the next frame of the match. With this market, your chosen player just needs to win the next frame - if he loses all other frames and gets thrashed, it matters not to you.
Top Tip 3: With regard to this market, you have to learn to pick the correct moment. For instance, if one of the players has won a good number of frames in succession, then the odds on offer for them to win the next one will be low, and not worth your time. You have to learn to strike when the odds are offering true value.
Match Handicap
Sometimes in snooker, like in most sports, there will be two players facing each other who are polar opposites when it comes to quality. In this case, it will not be worth betting on the favourite as their odds will be low while placing money on the underdog is akin to flushing your money down the drain. Bookies are well aware of this, which is the reason why they give you the opportunity to level the playing field (or in this case a table), by giving one of the players a frame disadvantage of advantage.
Top Tip 4: At the beginning of snooker events such as the World Open, players such as Judd Trump and Ronnie O'Sullivan will be put against players who they are a lot better than. This means that handicap betting is a lot more useful at the start of any big snooker event.
Highest Break
All of the best betting sites will give their punters that chance to bet on the player who they think will go on to make the highest break in a match or the tournament as a whole. The odds for the latter option will be higher as it is much harder to predict such an outcome. The great thing about this kind of market is that it does not matter if your selected player loses and is eliminated, so long as no other player beats their highest break.
Top Tip 5: Research is very important as it will help you learn which players are known for making consistently big breaks when they are at the table. The likes of O'Sullivan, Trump, Allen, Higgins, and Selby are known to be some of the best breakbuilders in the sport.
Outright Betting (Tournament Winner)
With such a market, what you are tasked with doing is trying to predict the player who will go on and lift the trophy. There is nothing more to it.
Top Tip 6: I suggest that you take a look at who your selected player could end up facing if they manage to make their way through the event as this will let you know if they encounter someone that they usually struggle against. Additionally, I recommend that you place an outright bet as early as possible since the odds will shorten as the tournament progresses.
⚡Best World Open Snooker Betting Sites
For me to say that British snooker fans are spoiled for choice when it comes to betting sites to place wagers on this event would be the understatement of the year so far. There are many bookies that offer World Open betting markets, but below are five of my favourites:
- Betiton Sport
- Mr. Mega Sport
- LeoVegas Sport
- 10Bet Sport
- BzeeBet
I am now going to give you a better idea as to what these top five bookies can offer British punters.
Betiton Sport
Betiton Sport entered the sports betting world back in 2020, and since then they have gone on to become a very popular sportsbook among British punters. One of the main reasons for their popularity is the fact that they are not afraid to offer quality odds and a nice range of markets for the sports that they have on offer. As a result, snooker fans who opt to sign up here will always be able to find plenty to bet on when big events such as the World Open roll around.
What type of bonus do they have on offer for those who opt to open an account with them? Well, once you have placed a qualifying bet of £15, you will receive a £10 free bet. Bonuses come with a variety of terms and conditions, and below are the major ones for this bonus:
- New players only.
- Minimum £10 deposit.
- Minimum qualifying bet is £15
- Bonus is valid for 14 days.
- Minimum odds of 2.00.
- Cannot claim bonus with PayPal, Skrill, or Neteller deposits.
If you want to find out more about Betiton Sport, then you can do so by checking out our in-depth Betiton Sport review.
Mr. Mega Sport
Mr. Mega Sport has been in existence since 2009, and the fact that they hold a license from the Malta Gambling Authority and the United Kingdom Gambling Commission tells us that they are a safe and fair place for UK punters to bet with. Those who decide to sign up with Mr. Mega for snooker betting will never be disappointed by the odds and market variety that are on offer, especially those punters who enjoy placing bets when the action is already underway.
If you register with Mr. Mega, then you can claim a £10 free bet once you have placed qualifying bets on any sports worth a total of £15. This free bet can be used on the World Open or any other sporting event. As usual, it is important to check out the T&Cs that apply, and below you can find a list of the main ones in relation to this welcome offer:
- Available to new customers only.
- Minimum wagering amount to activate is £15.
- Not available to punters who deposit via Skrill, PayPal, Neteller, or Paysafecard.
- You will have 14 days to make use of the bonus
Those who want to find out more about Mr. Mega Sport can do so by checking out our Mr. Mega review.
LeoVegas Sports
Nowadays, a lot of British sports bettors like being able to bet on snooker events wherever they happen to be, which is why all of the best bookmakers ensure that their website is 100% compatible with a range of mobile devices. When it comes to top mobile betting bookies, you will not find one that can compete with LeoVegas. They have won the "Mobile Operator of the Year" award a number of times as their mobile site and app offer a seamless gambling experience thanks to ease of use and navigation.
What type of welcome bonus do they offer their customers in the United Kingdom? Well, you can claim up to £100 extra with a 100% profit boost. Let us check out the T&Cs that are attached to this bonus:
- For new UK players only.
- A minimum deposit of £10.
- A minimum qualifying bet of £10.
- You will have seven days to place your qualifying wager.
- You will be given 30 days to use the profit boost.
Those who want to find out more about this top bookie can do so by reading our in-depth LeoVegas Sports review.
10Bet Sport
10Bet, which is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, has been around for a little more than two decades, which gives us a very good idea as to how good a sports betting site they are. In this fiercely competitive industry, a bookie that has any big flaws is not going to have been in business for over 20 years. Their success can be put down to their quality odds, market range, banking variation, quality bonus offers, and top customer support.
Speaking of quality bonus offers, let us look at what 10Bet is offering those who decide to open an account with them. If you register here, then you can claim a top welcome bonus of up to £50, which you can use on the World Open. Like we have done with the three bookies above, let me tell you about the all-important terms and conditions that are attached:
- For new British customers only.
- Wagering requirements of 8x.
- Deposits via Neteller and Skrill are not accepted.
- You must input the bonus code "PLAY10".
- Minimum odds of 1.80 for single bets and 1.40 for accumulator bets.
Those who like the sound of 10Bet and would like to find out a little bit more before fully committing can do so by checking out our top 10Bet review.
BzeeBet Sports
BzeeBet Sports is the youngest sportsbook from these top five bookies since they have only been in existence since last year. However, despite their young age, I can already tell that they are going to be around for some time to come. They have made sure that they can compete with more established bookies by offering competitive odds and a range of markets for the 30 sports on offer. Many new bookies have limited banking options, but this is not the case with BzeeBet, which gives them extra brownie points from me.
The Welcome Bonus is a pretty straightforward one, but is still not one to be sniffed at - you can claim a £10 free bet. They also give you the chance to claim weekly free bets and have a BZ Combo Boost of up to 77%, so make sure to check out their promotions page regularly. For now, let's check out the welcome bonus T&Cs that you need to abide by:
- The minimum qualifying stake is £10.
- The maximum free bet value is £10.
- You will be given 14 days to use your free bet.
- The minimum odds for the qualifying wager stand at 2.00
- Your free bet odds must be 1.80 or higher.
- You cannot split your free bet.
- Deposits via Skrill, PayPal, Neteller, or Paysafecard are not eligible.
If you like the look of this new sports betting site but want to find out a little more about them first, then you can do so by reading our Bzeebet Sports.
